Chris Saunders just came through with this little promo for TGC and John Ludwick’s 1959 Mercedes 220 Fintail. Such an amazing car, you have to see it in person to see the detail and fit and finish of this thing. Also check out one of the photos Saunders shot of the car as well…you’ve got to remember first and foremost this guy is a professional photographer and you can definitely see it here. Great shots buddy.
Capelo hit us up with some footage a while back from his go pro of him playing in the E36 on a rainy day, and here’s what we came up with.
Last weekend Mike dropped the motor into the E30 and Marfoli was kind enough to capture some footage of the whole thing. For those of you who saw the footage of the motor being pulled, this is the newest update from there. Here’s a link to the original motor pull post. A lot has happened since then. Mike’s original idea to build a 2.7L stroker was abandoned once he found a Mustang V8 out of a foxbody for sale. He’s been getting it all prepped every since and here we are.
If you remember, in the last post we talked about Mike having an ’85 Datsun pickup. He sold that off, and instead bought a fantastic winter car, seen below, which has since been sold. The Datsun has been through a few owners since and still pops up on Craigslist every once and a while…

“It’s a 1977 Yamaha XS 750. I recently made a custom cafe racer seat pan [editor: you can see the process of this in the recent video and in some pictures here] which isn’t on the bike yet. Threw on a pair of clip on handle bars from LowBrow Customs and lowered the whole bike about three inches. I relocated the battery and did a full wire tuck. Still waiting on some new 2.5″ gauges from Dime City Cycles and in the mean time I’m going to paint the wheels black.”
I’m stoked on how it’s coming together!

We’re branching out! Mike just picked up a new project bike and Marf shot some footage of him starting to work on it and I put together a little edit of it, mullet and all. Ought to be a sweet little cafe racer when all is said and done. We’ve got tons of projects going on right now between the bug, this bike, some suspension work/fitment work on my wagon, and another secret project that is really gonna kick ass.
